At The Law Offices of James H. Miller, Jr., my commitment to each client is never in doubt. After working at two Chicago-area law firms, I launched my own practice in 1992 with the sole intent of providing the type of personalized legal counsel that I would want if I needed an attorney. I represent clients throughout Cook and DuPage counties, as well as surrounding Illinois counties.
When you hire me, you work with me and no one else. I have more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of real estate law, workers’ compensation and personal injury cases.
Because I often work with injured individuals, I am committed to letting them focus on recuperating while I protect their legal rights. I strive to resolve disputes efficiently so my clients can move forward with their lives. Oftentimes, I reach agreement without the need to go to trial. However, I am an accomplished litigator who is always prepared to advocate for my clients in court when a fair agreement cannot be reached through negotiations.
It is my goal to put my clients at ease from day one. I attempt to reduce stress by providing a professional and personable environment in which clients have confidence that their legal needs are being handled by an experienced attorney.

I offer injured parties a free telephone consultation in which I can answer your questions and recommend an effective course of action. Workers’ compensation and personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee basis, which means I only collect an attorney fee if I obtain a recovery for you. For real estate disputes, I provide a flat-fee initial consultation.
