Are You Looking For A Foreclosure Defense Attorney In Illinois?

The current real estate market in Illinois and the rest of the United States has resulted in an increase in the number of foreclosures. Unfortunately, many families have taken on mortgages that have become more than they can afford and if they fall behind in their payments, a home foreclosure may be looming. These families need an advocate who can help them determine the best way to handle their situation. This is just one of the many reasons I established The Law Offices of James H. Miller, Jr.

I am attorney James H. Miller, Jr. My practice is focused on providing clients with personalized, professional and compassionate representation. Contact me today at my Chicago office to learn more about the home foreclosure process and your options during a consultation with me.

If you are falling behind on your mortgage payments and are concerned about foreclosure, or have already received a notice of foreclosure, it is essential that you enlist my help as soon as possible. I can then help you explore your options for avoiding foreclosure or dealing with the foreclosure, such as those listed below.

Lender Negotiation.

I am an experienced and skilled negotiator. Using these qualities, I represent clients and negotiate with their lenders in order to obtain a restructuring of the loan payments. Though this is not always possible, it is one way in which you may be able to keep your home.

Short Sales.

A short sale may be an option when a mortgage lender or bank agrees to a sale below the value of their loan. Banks often allow this when it will result in a smaller financial loss than a foreclosure. This may not allow you to keep your home, but will prevent you from incurring more debt and credit problems that a foreclosure may cause.

Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure.

A deed in lieu of foreclosure is a document in which a borrower conveys all interest in their property to the lender in order to satisfy a defaulted loan. When this is completed, foreclosure is avoided. A deed in lieu of foreclosure can be beneficial to the borrower since the document releases the borrower from all or most of the debt that is connected with the loan.

If a bank or lender is foreclosing on your house and have questions or concerns, contact me to schedule an appointment. Your initial consultation is free.
